When B & S reached out to me to capture their Big Sur elopement, I immediately said YES!!!
They had their city hall ceremony in Souther California but wanted to exchange their vows privately under Big Sur's redwood trees. Their day was very simple. B got ready in their cabin & they had a sweet first look. We then headed to the redwood trees where they picked a location for their vow exchange. There was no one around. Just the sound of nature, some crinkling sounds of leaves, and their vows. And some sniffles. After that, we headed north to take more photos by the coast.
For those who wants to go there in the summer, there will be coastal fog. But I say it actually made the photos dreamier (& surprisingly warmer)! What I love about B&S when they saw the fog was not a request to drive further north to chase the golden hour sun, but they jumped out of the car and was ready to take pictures. No complaining, but a 'let's roll' mentality. It really made this day so memorable. After all, you can always get photos with the sun but how often do you get photos with the fog?
