S & Y | Aracely Cafe Wedding Treasure Island

S & Y's wedding at Aracely Cafe Treasure Island in San Francisco was an absolute gem, a celebration that left an indelible mark on my memory. Our initial introduction during our call revealed their unique approach to handling the wedding planning stress – the infamous "Wedding Wednesday," where they navigated the intricate details of their big day. Although I typically avoid double-header weekends, their laid-back and lovely demeanor convinced me to make an exception. Besides, discovering that they were houseplant aficionados added an extra layer of connection – a shared appreciation for greenery that went beyond the wedding planning intricacies. If you're on the lookout for a monstera albo, they are your go-to experts!

The journey to their wedding day had a moment of suspense when, after sending over the contract, all I heard were crickets. Unbeknownst to me, their Wedding Wednesday tradition had momentarily slipped my mind. Just a day before the self-imposed deadline, as I cruised down the road to San Jose, an email popped up – the bride, sending over the signed contract and deposit. Relief and excitement washed over me, and I knew we were on the path to creating something beautiful.

Adding to the charm of the day, S and Y showcased their creative flair by designing their own invitation suite and signs. Their personal touch elevated every detail, reflecting their love not just for each other but for the artistry that made their wedding uniquely theirs. It was a day of genuine connections, heartfelt embraces, and personalized touches – a true celebration of love and the beginning of a beautiful journey together.

The wedding day itself unfolded into a heartwarming testament to the union of not just two individuals but two families. The air was filled with warmth as hugs were exchanged left and right. Some moments were immortalized by my camera, others etched into my memory, and a few, perhaps, missed amidst the joyful chaos despite the presence of four photographers capturing the love-filled embraces. The emotional highlight was the father-daughter dance, set to the timeless melody of "How Deep Is Your Love" by the Bee Gees. It was a moment that left no eye dry, and the echoes of that song resonated in my mind as I edited their photos. I highly recommend giving it a listen while scrolling through the captured memories.
