Reasons Why You Should Do A First Look | A + C Mountain Terrace Wedding Woodside

I had the opportunity to 2nd shot for Maria for a wedding at Mountain Terrace. Check out at these matching watches for the groom squad - personalized with their initials 🤩✨ Also take a peep at their first look. It was one of the most emotional ones I've witnessed. When I asked the groom how he felt, he kept telling me that he was fine. It wasn't until he started hearing the bride's footsteps walking towards him that he couldn't help but start feeling all the feels 🥺 and C's reaction is just the cutest!

I'm a strong advocate for first looks especially if you're an introvert ☺️

Here are some reasons why you should do a first look:

1) You want to be able to be yourself during this time and have a genuine reaction, without having to feel embarrassed or the pressure of having 100 pair of eyes watching you

2) Have some alone/quality time with your partner. If you're seeing your bride for the first time while she's walking down the aisle, it's going to be a matter of seconds before your ceremony starts. Afterwards your wedding day will go by so fast that you barely remember anything. This is a time to really soak it all in. Compliment each other. Take time to be fully present with each other. Be true to your feelings. Laugh. Cry. And then cry some more. Some couples take this time to say their personalized vows to each other as well. Make this time truly yours

3) You'll be able to tackle bride & groom photos right after, while the makeup and hair still looks fresh 😉 (but also don't forget about sunset portraits!

Let your photographer know if you're interested in doing a first look and/or private vows and they will be able to help you fit it in your timeline!
